Journey to The Cabin

Sharing our Adventures and Work at Double Dog Cabin! Vacation and Get-a-away Cabin for now . . . future retirement home!

Friday morning began with the usual coffee and cereal. Making the bed, cleaning up, walking the dogs around the yard and taking showers.

The folks got up to the cabin around 10 am. We sat around and visited and some of us had pie. Then we all went for a walk with the dogs.

We had our traditional after Thanksgiving lunch with a twist. The usual Turkey sandwiches on homemade bread. Only it was homemade sourdough bread!!! And ham was available. Very good ham, too. For desert we broke out the pecans we got on Wednesday.

Later in the afternoon Mom and Calvin when back to the RV for awhile and to the Phone Reception Hill Top to check phone messages.

Randall stayed and visited with us. There were several local papers that we read and discussed various stories. Life out here is very different and often amusing. Guess that is why we like it.

Later that afternoon when everyone was back at the cabin, Randall, Mom, Max and I played a few hands of UNO. Then we started dinner. Indian Tacos were on the menu for the night. Everyone lent a helping hand, with Calvin keeping the dogs out of our way.

So we officially had our first dinner guests at The Cabin!
