Journey to The Cabin

Sharing our Adventures and Work at Double Dog Cabin! Vacation and Get-a-away Cabin for now . . . future retirement home!

SATURDAY:

For the most part the van was loaded on Friday, so not much work involved on Saturday morning. We got off at a decent hour and were able to get to The Cabin before sunset, allowing us to unload the van and get settled for the night before dark.

The Van has made its first and last trip to The Cabin. The last part of the roads to The Cabin are very rough. The low clearance of the van was not made to travel on such roads. Duke was very upset and tried his hardest to get in the front and crawl in my lap. Needless to say we made as few trips away from The Cabin as possible.

SUNDAY:
For some unknown reason, Ginger has decided that while at the cabin we need to get up between 5:30 and 6:00 each morning to let her outside. Then of course she demands her breakfast. On the bright side, because we are up with her, we have seen some beautiful sunrises. The following pictures from Sunday, our first morning of this trip. What a wonderful welcoming from Mother Nature.

While Max worked outside, I unpacked and tidied up the cabin. Below are pictures of Max's handy work.

The gate Max built for the porch. It was great having it with the Ginger and Duke at The Cabin.

Max was able to hang this cabinet that I refinished this past Summer. I am so glad to finally have it to put our cups and drinking glasses. Space is a premium until the under counter cabinets and drawers are built in February.
