Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
Wood Floors: Monday we were able to lay the living room flooring. Tuesday was spent laying the kitchen floor. Now all the wood flooring is down. As you can see from the first picture the porch area was a mess while we tackled this job. This photo was taken during one of our breaks.

All the hard work was well worth it.
We love the new floor.
It is really nice to not walk on the black plastic that was protecting the floor until we could lay the laminated wood flooring!
Wednesday we attempted to rid ourselves of the bags and boxes of trash that had accumulated during our last two visits. I called the County Judge’s office to check on the Thanksgiving week schedule for the Ft. Davis Dump. The woman told me was they would be closed Thursday and Friday, possibly Saturday.
Guess what . . . .
They were closed on Wednesday also!!!!!
Made me want to pull my hair out. But such is life in this area.
I do everyone a favor and not express my thoughts on this subject. *weak smile*
We did make a stop at the Davis Mountain Nut Company in Ft. Davis before going back to The Cabin. I had actually seen them at a Holiday Show here in Plano and purchased some of their pecans. Max and I love them, so we had to stop by and get some for our Thanksgiving guests. Here’s a link to their website:

Before heading back to the cabin, with the van still full of trash bags and boxes, we stopped at the local grocery store for a few supplies. Thankfully all but two of the bags were cardboard, broken down boxes, paper and such so no stinky, messy bags.
