Max returned President’s Day evening from North Carolina where he spent the weekend with his parents. He prepared and filed their federal and state income taxes for them. He was also able to spend some time with his sister in Charlotte. After dinner we packed the vehicle and prepared Duke and Ginger's food for the rest of the week.
Tuesday morning, *Auntie* Sharon picked up Duke and Ginger for their vacation at her home; spending play time with Skye, "B" and Nikko. Max and I began the long drive to the cabin. Stopping at a Radio Shack in Ft. Worth to pickup a Magic Jack for our phone at the cabin.
Wednesday morning we became connected with the outside world via the internet. A very nice couple, Terry and Kitty, originally from Carrollton came to get everything set up. So many people here are from the Dallas and Houston areas. We had a nice visit with them and learned more about the area.
While they were still there, Darrell came by to hook up the septic tank so we could actually use the restroom facilities this trip. I’m not fond of orange, but I told Max *Orange never looked so beautiful.* :-)
This rock was taken from the hole that was dug for the spetic tank. Guess it will become our *Thinking Rock*. What do you think, Emily?
The bedroom curtains were hung, along with other misc items. Such as hooks in the bathroom and rack for cooking utensils in the kitchen.
My Mom, Calvin and Charlie made it to the cabin Thursday afternoon after setting up their Trailer in the RV Park. It was good to see them. We had good food and visiting with them through Sunday night. Nothing like Mom's home cooking!!!! It was nice not having a kitchen to cook in when the builder was working in it . . . any excuse to have Mom's cooking!!
